Sad to hear, but there’s data showing a majority of HOA problems, some 30-60% based on estimates, arise due to poor communications from HOA boards. While I’m sure many of our HOA leaders are great communicators, it is an area in which we all could use a little refresher, and perhaps some additional help.

If you’re able to attend a chapter meeting this month, we are focusing on HOA communications for board leaders. We held our first chapter meeting on the subject in Maple Grove on Tuesday and it was a resounding success. We cover issues related to email and the cadence of email communications; how to use surveys to generate engagement and learn from each other; and how to assemble a simple newsletter for your HOA that residents will read.

We also have a special guest speaker, Nathan Keech of Kreativ HQ, who presents his expertise on setting up an HOA website and social media page. He even has a discounted program that HOAs can use to get things started.
