HOA Trees

We’re headed into the new year with a whole range of new Pop-Up Surveys, our way of getting good data from our fellow HOA leaders across the state. While the first one revolved around HOA fees (average monthly fee among respondents: $511), our Survey #2 is about HOA trees.  Ron Zillmer, our tree care sponsor from Legacy-Trees, is speaking on this important topic at all chapters in January. To get a good handle on tree care among our HOA leaders, we want to know:

Have you conducted an inventory of trees (such as type, age, condition) on your HOA property?

Do you have a plan for replacing trees as they age out and die?

Have you been conducting preventive treatments, such as Emerald Ash Borer, Japanese Beetles, Oak Wilt, on your HOA property?

What percentage of your operating budget is set aside for tree care and maintenance?

We’re getting a good response so far, but there’s still time to join the party and give us your answers.  The survey will only take a few minutes.  We’ll reveal the answers at chapters in January.

To all of you who participate, thank you and we’ll see you in January at the 2026 HOA Leadership Network!
