Elections have consequences. No matter what side of the aisle you’re on, voting is such a great right and privilege, yet few of us bother going to the polls. Primaries in Minnesota show a turnout of around 20% of registered voters in the past few elections (it was less than 10% in 2016). When we don’t engage and don’t vote, especially in primaries, we end up with choices that we may not like. That can lead to legislation that we don’t like either (SF 1750, anyone?).

The primaries for the GOP and DFL are on Tuesday, August 11. You can view what’s on your ballot by going to the MN Secretary of State’s office and inputting your address.  Then hit “View Sample Ballot.”

HOA Leaders need to get out the vote. There’s already more discussions happening in St. Paul on creating and passing more HOA legislation in the next session.
