I caught a Fox 9 Minneapolis live report on their morning show today about the Legislative’s Working Group recommendations to “limit the power of HOAs” in Minnesota. The first report that I saw was very negative about HOA living, but by the time the sun was up in their second hour, reporter Bill Keller seemed to soften his approach a bit. His first hour report seemed to imply that most homeowners were not happy living in their HOA, a rather broad statement without any evidence.

A morning news conference by the working group apparently triggered the report, which was largely old news now, covering the fact that proposed legislation had zeroed in on “reasonable and justifiable standards,” “setting limitations on rules for single family homes,” “conflict of interest” standards and “no foreclosures for aesthetic rules or fines under $2500.”

You can watch their second hour report HERE. We’ll file a blog on the news conference at some point soon.
