If you’ve been a regular attendee of HOALN monthly chapter meetings, you probably heard me talk about the new board leader course that Lynn and I have put together. The course, called Introduction to Homeowner Associations for Board Leaders, is a 90-minute class that we are offering for free to HOALN members. We are devoting the first three months of the year to these classes on “rinse and repeat” so that we can get some valuable input on the course and make needed changes as we go. We’re working on a long-range delivery of class on a regular schedule, to be held possibly in other parts of the metro.

The inaugural class in January was full, and we got a lot of great feedback. Being that it was our shakedown cruise, we obviously learned a lot and decided we need to tweak aspects of it. We are in the process of making changes for the Feb. 3 class, which is now also full.

Our next open class is on March 3. These are evening events that start at 6 p.m. and end promptly at 7:30 p.m. at the New Brighton Community Center. See the graphic below for the details. You don’t have to be a brand “new” board leader to take this course. Perhaps you’ve been on the board for a while and just need a refresher (or strengthener, as I’ve heard it described). This class may be just right for you.

If you’d like to register, please visit the RSVP HERE. Special thanks for All Around for their chapter funding of this great course.
