The HOA Leadership Network recently completed its 33rd meeting on December 17, 2024, with the conclusion of our full year of meetings held in four chapter locations. That’s more than 70 hours of programming and educational content in a year’s time, with even more planned for 2025.

Much change occurred in the network in 2024, with the addition of three new chapters in May, a new website launch, an updated chapter meeting format, and a much larger HOA Day in October. It was a busy informational year!

To get a handle on our members’ opinions about our efforts, we provided a survey to get some feedback on a variety of topics. The results were overwhelmingly positive, with some excellent suggestions for topics and changes in the new year. We appreciated the comments, and we learned a lot to help guide us in future chapter meetings.

Below are just some of the survey highlights that came from our growing membership base:

Eighty-six percent (86%) of respondents believe that the chapter topics presented in 2024 were very relevant to them as a board leader.

Everyone who was surveyed (100%) believe that the topics were either always (51.6%) or often (48.4%) important to them as a board.

Other than the chapter meetings themselves, a majority of our members (81%) get most of their information from our weekly e-newsletter, which sports an “open rate” of more than 62% on average!

And most of our members (93.8%) believe that they enjoy the featured speakers who present information at chapter meetings the most. That’s great news for our presenting sponsors and other speakers who provide educational content to our network.

Many of our members opined on future topics for us to present, including requests for more information on board governance, reserve study information, the role of property management, longer open forum time and even suggestions on covering tips on how to deal with difficult people. We are planning to cover these topics and more in the new year.

We’d like to thank all our members and sponsors for their feedback and for supporting us this year. We look forward to continuing to fulfill the mission of the network, which is to support HOA leaders through education, collaboration and research.
